Height safety for Bendigo and central Victoria.
Roof anchors, static lines, ladders, guardrail and walkways for heritage, health and industrial buildings in Bendigo and the towns around it. We've worked in Bendigo, and we're based in Ballarat, less than two hours away.
A lot like Ballarat
Bendigo and Ballarat grew up the same way. Both have gold-rush era buildings in the centre, with old roofs and timber framing that was never designed to take fall arrest loads. Both have new industrial and commercial buildings going up around the edges.
Heritage roofs need structure added before the system goes on, and every fixing detailed so it doesn't leak. We did exactly that on the slate roofs at Werribee Mansion.
Health and community buildings
Hospitals and health services use their roofs for decades, with maintenance staff and outside contractors going up all the time. The access has to be clear and well documented. At Daylesford Hospital, on the road between Ballarat and Bendigo, we installed a ladder line, anchors and a roof hatch for Central Highlands Rural Health.
Height safety systems we install and certify in Bendigo
Roof anchor points
Single anchors for fall arrest or restraint, fixed into structure that can take the load, not just the sheeting.
Static lines
Horizontal lifelines so a worker stays connected while moving along a roof, a gutter or a ridge.
Roof guardrail
Fixed or freestanding rail at edges, around plant and at roof hatches, so nobody needs a harness to work there.
Roof walkways
Set routes to plant and gutters that keep people off brittle sheeting, skylights and slate.
Fixed ladders and ladder lines
Caged or uncaged ladders with landings to AS 1657, and vertical ladder lines that keep the climber attached.
Roof access hatches
A safe way through the roof from inside, with guardrail around the opening.
Plant platforms and step-overs
Level, guarded decks around HVAC units, and fixed crossings over pipework, ducts and roof level changes.
Internal access
Ladders, platforms and stairs to mezzanines, ceiling spaces and plant rooms.

Height safety in Bendigo: common questions
Do you work in Bendigo?
Yes. We've done work in Bendigo, and we're based in Ballarat, less than two hours away, and we group central Victorian jobs into the same trips where we can.
Can you work on heritage buildings?
Yes. Old roofs often need structure added before a system goes on, and every penetration detailed so it doesn't leak. We did that on the slate roofs at Werribee Mansion.
Do you work on hospitals and health buildings?
Yes. At Daylesford Hospital we installed a Kattsafe vertical ladder line, anchor points and a roof access hatch for Central Highlands Rural Health, with SJ Weir as builder.
How often does a system need inspecting?
Usually every 12 months. The exact interval comes from the manufacturer and AS/NZS 1891.4, and we'll tell you what applies when we inspect it.
Can you inspect a system someone else installed?
Yes. Any brand, whoever installed it. If the records are missing, we inspect and tag it and rebuild the layout plan and logbook.
Do you install for builders on new projects?
Yes. We supply, install and certify the roof access package as a subcontract and hand over the certificates, layout plans and logbook.
