Height safety for Geelong, the coast and the Bellarine.
Roof anchors, static lines, ladders, guardrail and walkways for industrial, commercial and coastal buildings around Geelong. We've worked in Geelong, including at Geelong Grammar School, and come down the Midland Highway from Ballarat in about an hour and 20 minutes.
Industry, growth and the coast
Geelong has three kinds of roof that need height safety, and they don't wear the same way.
Around Corio, Norlane and North Geelong there's heavy industry and large manufacturing and storage buildings, with plant spread across big metal roofs. In Armstrong Creek and Waurn Ponds, new schools, retail and warehouses are going up with access designed in from the start. And along the Surf Coast and the Bellarine, buildings sit in salt air.
Why the coast matters
Salt air can speed up corrosion on anchors, fixings and static line components. A system that would look fine after a few years inland can need closer attention near the water. When we inspect coastal sites we look hard at corrosion, not just whether the parts are there, and when we install we choose components to suit the site.
Schools
Schools have rooftop plant, gutters and skylights that need regular maintenance, plenty of buildings, and a lot of people who should never be near an edge. We've worked in Geelong at Geelong Grammar School, and at Melton Christian College we put a guarded plant platform around the rooftop air conditioning.
From Ballarat
We're based in Ballarat, about an hour and 20 minutes from Geelong. Our other nearby work includes Werribee Mansion, on the way between Geelong and Melbourne.
Height safety systems we install and certify in Geelong
Roof anchor points
Single anchors for fall arrest or restraint, fixed into structure that can take the load, not just the sheeting.
Static lines
Horizontal lifelines so a worker stays connected while moving along a roof, a gutter or a ridge.
Roof guardrail
Fixed or freestanding rail at edges, around plant and at roof hatches, so nobody needs a harness to work there.
Roof walkways
Set routes to plant and gutters that keep people off brittle sheeting, skylights and slate.
Fixed ladders and ladder lines
Caged or uncaged ladders with landings to AS 1657, and vertical ladder lines that keep the climber attached.
Roof access hatches
A safe way through the roof from inside, with guardrail around the opening.
Plant platforms and step-overs
Level, guarded decks around HVAC units, and fixed crossings over pipework, ducts and roof level changes.
Internal access
Ladders, platforms and stairs to mezzanines, ceiling spaces and plant rooms.

Height safety in Geelong: common questions
Do you work in Geelong?
Yes. We've worked in Geelong, including at Geelong Grammar School. We're based in Ballarat, about an hour and 20 minutes up the Midland Highway, and we group Geelong jobs into the same trips where we can.
Does salt air affect height safety systems?
It can. Near the coast, corrosion on anchors, fixings and static line components can build up faster, so we pay close attention to it at inspection and choose components to suit the site when we install.
Do you do industrial roofs?
Yes. Large metal roofs with plant spread across them need walkways, guardrail at edges and hatches, and anchors or static lines for the work in between. We install, certify and inspect all of it.
How often does a system need inspecting?
Usually every 12 months. The exact interval comes from the manufacturer and AS/NZS 1891.4, and we'll tell you what applies when we inspect it.
Can you inspect a system someone else installed?
Yes. Any brand, whoever installed it. If the records are missing, we inspect and tag it and rebuild the layout plan and logbook.
Do you install for builders on new projects?
Yes. We supply, install and certify the roof access package as a subcontract and hand over the certificates, layout plans and logbook.
