01 · Inspection
There's a system on the roof, but no paperwork
Someone buys a building, or a facility manager takes over a portfolio. There are anchors and a static line on the roof, but no logbook, no layout plan and no record of when anything was last inspected.
Height safety equipment needs periodic inspection to stay in service, at the interval set by the manufacturer and the applicable standard. Without records there's no way to show that has happened, so the safe assumption is that it shouldn't be used until a competent person checks it.
How we fix it
- Inspect and test the system, whoever installed it
- Tag everything that passes
- Rebuild the records: a layout plan and a logbook
- Quote to fix or replace anything that fails
